Under Construction =)

Well I just switched my resolution on my computer from 800 X 600 to 1024 X 768. I am starting a work at home job and for some reason it requires that I use this resolution to run their software (yeah I don't get it). So anyway, my blog looks really funny on the higher resolutions (which I think is what most people are using now), so I'm going to do some work on my template to get normal looking again. =) So everything might look really lopsided while I'm fixing stuff. Just bear with me!

Scallop circle with corner rounder punch tutorial

1.) First of all, you will need to cut out a circle. You can use any type of circle cutter you like. The circle I used is 31/2 inches (Please note, I am using the old corner rounder, so the measurements may not work for the new one) Remove the guide from your corner rounder punch. To do this gently pull on the side and it comes right off.

2.) After you have removed the guide flip your corner rounder punch over so you can see the bottom. On the bottom of the punch you will see a V. Hold your cardstock up to that V like the picture below (thats not a very good picture by the way. You want to make sure that your cardstock is flush up against the V). Punch the first scallop. When you punch the second scallop make sure you are right up against the first scallop so you don't have any gaps.

3.) Continue to go all the way around the cardstock.

4.) Finish your card! The circle I put in the middle is 3 inches. The scallop edge at the bottom is done the same way, just without the circle.

Fathers Day shirt card

I just tried Cambria's shirt folding technique for my fathers day cards. Check out her awesome tutorial HERE. For the tie, I just used a strip of paper, cut the bottom to the right shape and wrapped another piece around the top of it with a mini glue dot underneath to make it pop a little bit.
I don't have a Happy Fathers Day stamp, so I used an alphabet set instead (thats why it looks so crappy), the happy is from polka dots and paisley though.
Stamps: Polka dots & Paisley, Straight Up Alphabet (retired), Linen Background (not sure if you can see it. I didn't have Buckaroo Blue ink, so I used Bashful Blue).
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Bashful Blue
Paper: Buckaroo Blue, Close to Cocoa, and Chocolate Chip (pattern paper is not SU!)
Accessories: French Blue grosgrain, eyelets, ticket corner punch.
