It's 5:00 Somewhere!

Good afternoon! So I made this card a couple of years ago when I started stamping, but never posted it because it came out so bad. My coloring looks horrible! I did really like the idea of the card though, so when I came across this card in a box a few weeks ago I decided I wanted to recreate it now that my coloring doesn't look like a second grader did it lol. Only problem was I didn't' have the stamp set anymore, but I was able to request the images in WRAK.
So here is the re-do! The frog images are from SU Unfroggettable, and the martini glass is one of the older Michaels dollar stamps. I just cut the legs off the frog and glued them to the glass first, then glued the rest of his body to it.

-Stamps-SU Unfroggettable, Straight up Alphabet and numbers, Michaels $1 stamp, and alphabet set
-Paper-Pretty in Pink, Garden Green and White cardstock; Pretty in Pink prints DSP
-Ink-Garden Green, Memento black
-Copics-R81, R83, G07, G14, C1, 0
-Accessories-White grosgrain, Mat pack, paper piercer, nesties, circle cutter.

Be Happy

Hello! I hope you are having a great day! I meant to post earlier today, but I ended up spending most the day working in my garden. People that know me know I don't garden, lol. I don't like dirt, especially under my fingernails, don't like getting dirty and I don't like bugs lol. I'm working on it though. I still don't like doing it, but I do like the result. I'll post a picture when I get it done. I've got to get some more mulch and just a few more plants and I'm done biggrin. My hubby took a week of vacation time so we could get some stuff done around the house. Yesterday we worked out in the yard. Fun stuff, lol.
Saturday we went to a state park with some friends and rented some canoes. That was a lot of fun. There are trees all through the water and you go through them like a trail. I think it's almost 2 miles each way. It's really nice out there. Very peaceful. They have little signs everywhere telling you which way to go. We are going again tomorrow with some other friends.

I am NOT as white as I look in this picture, lol. I am pale, but not that pale! Unfortunately they all look like this. I don't even think I had the flash on. Not sure why it looks like that. That's my husband Sam behind me, and our friends Christy and Donnie in the other canoe.

This is when we were coming out of the trails and opens back up to a big pond. We raced back across the pond. Me and hubby won biggrin. My arms were burning after all that paddling!

I did manage to get one card made though. I just got this adorable Missmatch Ketto image from WRAK. I LOVE the Ketto's from stamping bella! They are so cute! Really fun to color too.

Hi!

Hello! Hope you are having a happy Tuesday afternoon! I know I'm happy to be back on the computer! Yesterday morning I woke up, pushed the button to turn it on and nothing happened. It was the power supply. I've actually been using hubby's computer for a while since the motherboard in mine died. So we took the power supply out of mine, but it wouldn't fit in hubby's. He didn't have time last night, but we are going to move everything from his case to mine so the power supply will fit. Hubby called me a little while ago on his lunch break and told me how I could hook it up outside of his computer. It worked! I was about to go crazy without a computer for another day, lol. Anyway, here's a card I made this weekend.

Well I think I'm going to spend a little time catching up on blog hoppin', and then turn this thing off for a while. It's probably not a good idea for the power supply to be sitting on the floor on for too long. Hope you all have a fantastic day!

Stamp Something Challenge

Good morning! This weeks Stamp Something Challenge is sponsored by Cutting Cafe. They have some really cute Digital images. The challenge is to use blue, green and yellow in your project. Perfect springtime colors! I used the Delicate Dots DSP from SAB, and threw in a tad of brown. I paper pieced her shirt and the boxes. I love paper piecing! The way I did the ribbon started off as a mistake. I punched the hole there for something else, but it didn't work like I hoped. The hole was through the image too, and there was no way I was doing all that cutting again, lol so I came up with this to hide it razz.

-Stamps-Stamping Bella Imeldabella, SU Priceless
-Paper-So Saffron, Bashful Blue, and White cardstock; Delicate Dots DSP
-Ink-Chocolate Chip, Memento black
-Copics-B93,G21, E11, E31, E33, Y21, E44
-Accessories-Nesties, Circle punches, Celery grosgrain, hole punch

Have a wonderful weekend, and don't forget to check out the Stamp Something Challenge blog to see the fabulous creations by the rest of the DT and to play along with us! I know a bunch of you have tons of that Delicate Dots DSP you need to use up anyway wink.

Thank you

Hello! I hope you are all having a great week so far! I found this great sketch at Inspirational Card Sketches. The pattern paper is from My Minds Eye. I love it! It's really close to Riding Hood Red with Baja Breeze dots! I'm going to have to go back and get more. The ribbon is from RABOM (light blue). See how well it matches Baja Breeze?! I tied the ribbon and made the bow using a button and hemp twine like shown Nichole shows HERE, only I did it upside down so the knot would be underneath.
-Stamps-Fifth Avenue Floral, Upsy Daisy
-Paper-Kraft, Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip cardstock; My Minds Eye DSP
-Ink-Chocolate Chip and Memento black
-Copics-Y17, BG10, BG72, YG93

Stipple Rose

Good morning! I hope you all had a Happy Easter. I meant to post this yesterday, but we had a lot going on. My husband's grandmother had a stroke early Sunday morning and bleeding in her brain. She is doing much better now and the bleeding has stopped. She's still in ICU, but she was talking up a storm and even making jokes last night. She told us she's gonna stick around until hubby and I give her some great grandkids lol. She is such a sweet lady.

Here is a card I made last week. I love this rose from Stipple Rose. This is an image I received from WRAK. This was really fun to color. I somehow managed to get a 2 big red spots in the background of this, so I cut it out.
-Stamps-SU Stipple Rose, Upsy Daisy -Paper-White and Old Olive cardstock; Riding Hood Red DSP -Ink-Riding Hood Red, Memento tuxedo black -Copics-R22, R27, R46, R59, YG69, YG95, G99 -Accessories-Olive grosgrain, Nesties, Circle cutter.

I got my ribbon from Ribbons And Bows Oh My yesterday! I am so happy with it! I got 18 rolls biggrin.I'm thrilled to finally have some Baja Breeze ribbon!! The sale is over now, but the prices are still great. You can find a list HERE that has the SU color matches.

Well, I need to get my house cleaned up, catch up on my google reader and try to get some stamping done today. I'll try to post tomorrow, but that of course depends on if I get to stamp today biggrin. See y'all later! Have a great day!!

BTW: Vicki has some great blog candy up for grabs! Make sure you check it out!

Stamp Something Challenge

Good morning! This week's Stamp Something Challenge is sponsored by our own Marcea. Her challenge to us, is to use multiple shapes in your project. I'm not really lovin this card...I can't put my finger on what's wrong with it though. Maybe it would have looked better with a Baja Breeze as the background, and the pattern paper where the Baja is...or maybe the Baja just doesn't go. That color is in the pattern paper I used, but there is only one stripe of it, which is mostly covered up, lol. I might just tear this one apart and fix it wink. I used the Lattebella and just cut her off the stool. I love this bella. Her shirt is so cute!

-Stamps-Lattebella, SU Much appreciated
-Paper-Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Pumpkin Pie and white cardstock; My Mind's Eye pattern paper
-Ink-Chocolate Chip, Memento black

A Scrapbook page!

Woohoo! I finally made another scrapbook page. I really want to scrapbook more, but I'm just lazy I guess. Scrapbook pages are so much harder for me. I'm embarrassed how long this page took me, so I won't tell ya lol. I think the most time consuming part for me is trying to figure out what I want to use on it. I cased the layout from Lynn. I just found her blog the other day and love it! One of the hardest parts of a scrapbook page for me is the titles. First, I never know what to say, and then what to make the title with! I really need to stock up on chipboard alphabets or something. For this page I ended up using some cardstock stickers I had laying around. It took forever, but I put foam dots under the letters so they'd have a little dimension. I also popped up the boat and the star from Nursery Necessities. The patten paper is by Heidi Grace. I'm not sure who makes the cardstock I used, but I got it at Hobby Lobby. They have all of their paper on sale 4 for $1 right now! The ad said all paper under 59 cents 4/$1, but at our Hobby Lobby, there isn't any over 59 cents. I got about 50 sheets. Speaking of sale...did you know Ribbon and Bows Oh My has all of their grosgrain 20% off? They've got such great prices! I've got 135 yards of ribbon coming my way for only $29 including shipping!! I have no idea where I'm going to put it though. I guess it will probably just stay in a big pile for a while, lol.
This is my sweet little nephew David. One day while I was babysitting him, I threw a white sheet down a took a ton of pictures of him in a few different outfits. Isn't he adorable!! I'm going to try to make a page to go with this one with some of the other pictures I took. He was 5 months old here (he's almost 2 now). He is the best! He is always doing or saying something completely adorable. When he started talking, his first sentence was "shake that thing"...OMG, it is the funnest thing ever! He has a toy that says that, which is where he got it from.

I'll try to post tomorrow, but if not, I'll be back Friday for the Stamp Something Challenge. Have a great day!!

-Stamps-SU Nursery Necessities
-Paper-Brocade Blue, Red, Kraft and white cardstock;Heidi Grace cardstock

A Wish for Peace

Good morning! I hope you had a nice weekend! I spent a good part of mine unmounting stamps. Wow, that is so time consuming! So far I've done 8 SU sets and a bunch of non SU. Rather than fork out a bunch of money for all the EZ mount it would take, I left the foam they already had. I used flour to remove the stickiness (just rubbed it on the foam and it gets the gunk off). Then I used a spray adhesive by Duro that is repositionable if you spray it to one surface and let it dry for a minute (it's permanent if sprayed to both surfaces). This stuff works really well! ETA: this stuff doesn't hold long. All of my stamps have fallen off, a few days after posting this and some weren't even used yet, so I'm using Aileen's Tack it Over and Over now. I sprayed all the stamps I unmounted and put them in CD cases. It's so funny to walk out of the room with a big stack of stamps and come back with a few CD cases. I also mounted all of my bare rubber stamps on fun foam that had adhesive on one side, then sprayed the other with the adhesive. They stamp so much nicer now! I'm keeping all of my SU wood blocks and cases, that way if I ever decide to get rid of them, I can just reattach the the stamp to it's block with permanent adhesive and it's just like it was before! Anyway, here is a card I made this weekend. I stamped and colored the image, then squished it into a versamark pad, used heat and stick powder then glitter. My dew drops were really splotchy, so I colored the backs with a G99 copic to make them look better.

-Stamps-A Wish For Peace, Perfect Endings
-Paper-Kraft, White and Riding Hood Red cardstock; Riding Hood Red and Old Olive DSP
-Ink-Versamark, Old Olive, Close to Cocoa, Riding Hood Red
-Accessories-Aqua Painter, Glitter, Heat and stick powder, Olive grosgrain, Dew Drops.

Hope you have a great day!!
