Bloomin' Beautiful

Good morning! OMG, I am loving these Copic markers!! These things are so fun to color with! I love to color, but a lot of the other methods are just frustrating. I love watercoloring, but I'm not very good at it. Now I just need more stamps that are better for coloring. I've been kind of avoiding them.

I've been reading everything I can find about Copics and watching every video I could find on Youtube. Wow! Have y'all seen the videos by amyreederhadley? She is amazing with these things! You can check out her Copic videos HERE and HERE. She says that she colors on color copy paper. I'm not exactly sure what that is...is that regular printer paper, or something more like Georgia Pacific? Anyway, I started off using PTI, but I got to thinking that PTI cardstock is taking a LOT more ink to color, since the paper is supposed to be saturated and that paper is thick! So I tried GP, and it works great! It actually seems slightly easier to blend, and it's faster to color. I don't know about you, but I am NOT looking forward to they day that I have to fork out a ton of money for refills, lol. so I'm trying to put that off for as long as possible wink.

Anyway, onto the card razz. I got this image in WishRak's on SCS. Erin sent me some images a while back, and I loved them so much, I wished for some more in WishRaks. I really need to buy this stamp set, lol. I'm not sure what kind of paper was used. It's not anything I'm familiar with, but Copics work great on it. It's pretty thin, and the color wants to go out of the lines, but as long as you stay away from the edges, it works great! I didn't realize that at first though, so I had to cut this out rolleyes. I put mini glue dots under it. I just tore some of them in half and stretched them out so they'd fit on the stem.

Scrapbook pages!

WooHoo! I got two more scrapbook pages done. I recently started getting a subscription to Scrapbooks Etc. and that magazine has so many great ideas! Both of these pages were inspired by layouts in there. Hopefully you will be seeing scrapbook pages a lot more frequently here. Who knows though. I must be the worlds slowest scrapper. I haven't done any journaling yet because I don't like my handwriting and my printer is out of ink. These pictures were taken about 8 years ago when my husband and I started dating. Still hard to believe that was so long ago. I was only 15 then!

I'm actually really happy with how these pages came out. Well aside from the title. I started off using chipboard letters that I made white with a white craft pad. The wouldn't ever dry! I was getting so darn frustrated. So finally I decided to go to Michael's and go buy some chipboard letters that were already white. Well, they only had one font, and I didn't like it at all. So I got these letters by Colorbox. I do like the letters, but I don't think they fit in. Wrong style or something. Now I'm kicking myself for not just putting the wet chipboard letters on there. Oh, well. It looks like I'm 'stuck' with them now, lol.

ETA: I just realized I forgot to mention, the large circle on this page was made by using a circle cutter, and the scallops were made from the 1 1/4" punch.

A Beautiful thing SC181

This was SC181 on SCS. When I saw THIS card by Dannie Graves I HAD to try it. I love her card. I didn't mean to CASE it, but I loved the way she used the pattern paper, so I CASEd that, then the 3 flowers looked so good, so I did that too, and before ya know it the only thing not CASEd are the colors, lol. -Stamps-A Beautiful Thing

Tart & Tangy

I made this one a few days ago, I just forgot to upload it. I really love Tart & Tangy, but for some reason I've had trouble using it-so simple is all I could come up with, lol. I really screwed up my scallop edge, but from what I hear there will be a scallop edge punch in the new SU catty =). I don't think the sentiment really fits the card, but oh well, I never remember to actually send them to people anyway.Recipe:

Card for hubby =)

Hey everyone! Sorry, I know it's been almost a month since I've posted anything. I think I've just gotten lazy =). I haven't made much lately. Maybe I'll get back into the groove when I get my new catalog order on the 15th!!
I'm on hubby's computer right now. So I don't have my smilies or my watermark =(. I made this card for my husband last night. I'm pretty happy with how this one came out (this was sketch challenge #157 on SCS). I couldn't get a good picture of it though. I'm not sure if you can see it, but I stamped you make my life a beautiful thing above the elephant from it's a beautiful thing.
Recipe
-Stamps-Wild About You, It's a Beautiful thing, Itty Bitty Backgrounds
-Ink-Ruby Red, Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa
-Paper-Ruby Red, Blue Bayou, Soft Sky and Whisper White
-Accessories-Old Olive & Ruby Red marker; Blue Bayou double stitched ribbon, Antique gold brads, ticket corner punch, Hodgepodge hardware

My dog Jingle just had puppies Saturday. They are adorable! I don't know what they heck they are though. The mother is a Pit Bull. We also have a mixed male Pit Bull, and my brother next door has a pure bread...but I'm thinking the puppies might be German Shepard. We didn't intentionally breed her, so I guess time will tell.
And those dang puppies are so LOUD! They got me up early this morning (we made a pen in the dining room for the mother and the puppies since it's too cold outside). She has 9 of them. She actually had 13, but she had a lot of complications, so 4 didn't make it =(.This is a picture of Jingle in a laundry basket. I always put her puppies in this when I clean their bed. Yesterday I put Jingle out while I was doing that. I brought her back in and put the puppies back in the bed and Jingle hopped in the laundry basket. I mean this is a small laundry basket. It won't even hold a whole load of clothes, lol.
