Good morning! I hope you had a nice weekend! I spent a good part of mine unmounting stamps. Wow, that is so time consuming! So far I've done 8 SU sets and a bunch of non SU. Rather than fork out a bunch of money for all the EZ mount it would take, I left the foam they already had. I used flour to remove the stickiness (just rubbed it on the foam and it gets the gunk off). Then I used a spray adhesive by Duro that is repositionable if you spray it to one surface and let it dry for a minute (it's permanent if sprayed to both surfaces). This stuff works really well! ETA: this stuff doesn't hold long. All of my stamps have fallen off, a few days after posting this and some weren't even used yet, so I'm using Aileen's Tack it Over and Over now. I sprayed all the stamps I unmounted and put them in CD cases. It's so funny to walk out of the room with a big stack of stamps and come back with a few CD cases. I also mounted all of my bare rubber stamps on fun foam that had adhesive on one side, then sprayed the other with the adhesive. They stamp so much nicer now! I'm keeping all of my SU wood blocks and cases, that way if I ever decide to get rid of them, I can just reattach the the stamp to it's block with permanent adhesive and it's just like it was before! Anyway, here is a card I made this weekend. I stamped and colored the image, then squished it into a versamark pad, used heat and stick powder then glitter. My dew drops were really splotchy, so I colored the backs with a G99 copic to make them look better.
-Stamps-A Wish For Peace, Perfect Endings
-Paper-Kraft, White and Riding Hood Red cardstock; Riding Hood Red and Old Olive DSP
-Ink-Versamark, Old Olive, Close to Cocoa, Riding Hood Red
-Accessories-Aqua Painter, Glitter, Heat and stick powder, Olive grosgrain, Dew Drops.
Hope you have a great day!!

Stamp Something Challenge
Good morning! This weeks Stamp Something Challenge is sponsored by Whiff of Joy. The theme is Valentines Somethings. I don't have any stamps that say any thing about Valentines so I went with the xoxo from Define Your Life. It was either that or be mine from So Many Sayings, but that one was too small. I really need to start buying stamps I actually need instead of just ones I like, lol. I don't even have mothers and fathers day stamps
.
I used Lauren Meader's sketch #19 again. I absolutely LOVE this sketch! I just made it square this time. This is the card I'm giving hubby on Valentines day. I'm sure he's just gonna love the rhinestones, satin ribbon and polka dots .
Make sure you visit the Stamp Something blog to see what the rest of the DT came up with!
-Stamps-Priceless, Define Your Life
-Paper-Whisper White and Chocolate Chip cardstock; Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red DSP
-Ink-Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette

Scallop circle cards
Good afternoon! I hope you all had a great weekend! I finally put in my new catalog order!! Woohoo! I can't wait! I ordered Thoughts & Prayers, Fifth Avenue Floral, Cheers to you and a few accessories. None of the SAB sets are really my style so I got the ribbon bundle and the DSP. I can't wait! I know I already said that, but it seems like it's been so long since I've ordered some SU goodies! I'm excited!
The other day I was looking at my nestabilities thinking how cute a card would be made from one that opened somehow. So that's what I did. On this one the white Wild Wasabi piece under the white lifts up.I just punched though all the layers except for the scalloped one twice and ran the ribbon though that. Then I just scored to make it open. I used a circle needle point plastic canvas thingie to do the piercing. I'm so glad I can pierce circles now! Free hand wasn't even an option, lol. I've tried
.
-Stamps-Tart & Tangy, Much Appreciated
-Paper-Whisper White, YoYo Yellow and Wild Wasabi
-Ink- YoYo Yellow, Only Orange and Wild Wasabi
-Accessories-Circle cutter, Circle Nestabilities, Wild Wasabi ribbon, paper piercer and needle point canvas
I made this one for hubby. The Pink Pirouette piece lifts up, and there is another Pink Pirouette circle underneath with the sentiment.
-Stamps-Always, So Many Sayings
-Paper-Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Close to Cocoa
-Ink- Riding Hood Red, Close to Cocoa
-Accessories-Circle cutter, Circle Nestabilities, Chocolate Chip twill ribbon, white signo gel pen, paper piercer and needle point canvas

Stamp Something Challenge-Recipe cards
Good morning! The theme for this weeks Stamp Something Challenge is Recipe Somethings. Any type of recipe project. I've actually been working on mine for a while, so it worked out perfectly that this was the challenge this week. I still need to find a box though.I loved this stamp set From the Kitchen of from SU, but I didn't like the recipe cards. There was hardly any room to write. Out of all of the recipes I wrote down, only two of them would fit on one card. I didn't want multiple cards per recipe either, so this was my solution.
Just a piece of cardstock measuring 5 1/4 X 6 1/2. I created a word document and set the page size to that and just filled it with lines. Then I just folded it in half with the lines on the inside and then stamped the recipe card image on the front. I also made a few like this for really long recipes. Please excuse my chicken scratch
.
Same concept as the one above but this one measures 5 1/4 X 9 1/4. My original plan was to use the slit punch at the bottom of the cards so I could tuck in the flap and keep them from being bulky, but I kept forgetting to order the darn thing. So yesterday I pulled out my recipe cards (they've been just stacked up assembled for a while ) and they were perfectly flat, so I decided I didn't need the slit punch after all.
I still have a few more recipes to copy, so so far I don't have anything for the veggies or soups section...notice the desert stack is the thickest, lol. I don't really like to cook real food, but I'm all about deserts!
Now I just need a box to put them in. I'm having a hard time finding one I like. =)

Stamp Something Challenge
Good morning! This weeks Stamp Something Challenge is more of a don't stamp something challenge . That's right, this week you are challenged to make a project without using any stamps! For my card I used rub-ons, a cuttlebug folder, some ribbon, hodgepodge hardware a little ink on a sponge and some paper piercing but absolutely no stamps! I went over the dry embossed dots with a sponge using the coordinating ink to make it pop a little more.
Make sure you stop by the Stamp Something Challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT came up with!

Stamp Something Challenge
Good morning!! Happy New Year!! The theme for this weeks Stamp Something Challenge is New Somethings. Create a project using something new, like maybe something you received for Christmas or a new color combo or technique..whatever! Well this was an easy one for me, since I got a bunch of new goodies for Christmas . Oh, and yesterday I went to Hobby Lobby and they have a bunch of stuff half off, like all rubber stamps! I got a bunch of new stamps, and then I went to Michael's to see if they would price match and they did so I got more there
. Ahh, nothing beats new stamps...especially when they're half price! Anyway, here is my card. This stamp is one I got for Christmas. I'm so happy I finally have a stamp that is good for masculine cards! Love this lighthouse! The Impression Obsession stamps are so fun to color! The layout is this weeks Sketch Challenge on SCS.
-Stamps-It's your Birthday, Impression Obsession Small Lighthouse
-Paper-So Saffron, Whisper White and Basic Black cardstock; Riding Hood Red DSP
-Ink-Memento Tuxedo black, Copic Markers

More Christmas cards =)
Good morning! I hope you all had a great weekend! I saw this color combo somewhere recently, but I can't remember where. The card I saw used Baja Breeze though, but I don't have that color yet, so I used Soft Sky. This first card looked a lot better before I put those huge brads on. Problem was though, I poked all the holes with my paper piercer, and then decided the holes I poked were too close to the edge so I poked new ones next to them. Then I decided that smaller brads would look much better, but by that point it was too late, because the small brads wouldn't cover up both holes. Duh! Oh, well. I'm still pretty happy with it though. The brads were silver, but I just embossed them to make them white. I don't think I'll ever get tired of this stamp set! I love coloring it! I wanted to use my Copics, but I didn't have the right colors, so I used an SU marker for the Burgundy and an Aqua Painter with my Soft Sky ink pad.
-Stamps-Crazy for Christmas, Polka Dots & Paisley, PTI Take a Bough
-Paper-Bravo Burgundy, Soft Sky, Chocolate Chip, Kraft and Whisper White
-Ink-Palette Black, Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky and Bravo Burgundy
-Accessories-Sewing machine, white thread, brads, Aqua painter and, Bravo Burgundy marker and 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" Circle punches
Loved the color combo so much I decided to make another . I just inked up the image with Soft Sky, and then went right over it with markers.
-Stamps-Season of Joy, Polka Dots & Paisley
-Paper-Bravo Burgundy, Soft Sky, Chocolate Chip, Kraft and Whisper White
-Ink-Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky and Bravo Burgundy
-Accessories-Sewing machine, white thread, Build-a-Brad, 1/2" circle punch, White grosgrain ribbon and Bravo Burgundy & Chocolate Chip markers.
This one is exactly like my upside down card, only different colors...well and I didn't make this one upside down .
-Stamps-Snow Flurries, Seeing Spots and Many Merry Messages
-Paper-Bravo Burgundy, Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke and Whisper White
-Ink-Bravo Burgundy, Mellow Moss and Always Artichoke
-Accessories-Burgundy grosgrain, Paper Piercer tool, mat pack.

Pun Fun
Good morning! I just made this card with another image I received in WishRaks. I love WishRak! It's so cool! For those of you that aren't familiar with it, it's part of the RAK group on SCS. Everyone starts with 3 'free' wishes. You wish for images you want, and grant others wishes to receive more wishes. It's an awesome way to try stamps your not sure about, or just to save some money .

-Paper-Basic Black, Whisper White, Purely Pomegranate and Pink Pirouette.

Stamp Something Challenge
Good morning! So it's time for another Stamp Something Challenge! This weeks theme is Thanksgiving or Thank you. I don't send out Thanksgiving cards, so I went with the Thank you.
I stamped the image in Palette black, and embossed it with clear EP to make sure the ink doesn't run. I think I need to get a different kind of ink to use with the copics. So I know my shading doesn't look so hot, but hopefully that will get better. I've been practicing like crazy with these things, so hopefully I'll get the hang of them soon.
-Paper-Real Red and PTI white cardstock; Polka dots & Paisley DSP (retired)
-Ink-Palette Black, Close to Cocoa
-Accessories-Copic markers, clear EP, hemp twine, Styled Silver HPH.

Glittery snowmen
I got my Copics yesterday!! Those things are neat! I spent like half the day just playing around with them. They definitely aren't what I'm used to, but I really like them. I'm kinda kicking myself on some of my color choices though. I didn't get a skin color ...or grass...or sky, lol. The browns I got were a lot darker than I expected too. Oh well...Maybe hubby will get me some more for my birthday or Christmas
. I've only made one card with them so far, but that one is for this weeks Stamp Something Challenge, so you'll see that tomorrow.
Want to see some really cute stamps?! My friend Denise has started her own stamp company called Whimsey Stamps! Isn't that exciting! The website doesn't launch until next week, but she is offering a preorder on her blog, and a chance to win one of the new stamps!! I'm telling you, these stamps are CUTE!! You can see THIS post on her blog to enter to win and for details on how to preorder.-Stamps-Wishing You Cheer, PTI Take a Bough
-Paper-Whisper White, Real Red (textured), Pretty in Pink and Old Olive cardstock; Bashful Blue, Real Red and Pretty in Pink Prints DSP (retired)
-Ink-Palette Black
-Accessories-White grosgrain ribbon, Elmer's glue, Martha Stewart crystal fine glitter, Paper Piercer, Mat pack & Real Red, Basic Black, Only Orange and Old Olive markersRemember THESE ornaments I made? I made a tiny one! I didn't realize quite how tiny it would be though! Or what a pain in the but! It's only 1 3/4". It looks really cute hanging on my tree though.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!
