Good morning! Monday was me and Sam's six year anniversary, which is why I didn't post like I usually do. We had a really nice day. We went canoeing, and out for a nice dinner. He also surprised me with a Cricut!! What a sweetie! A couple of months ago I was looking in the Walmart sales paper and saw a Cricut, and I jokingly said to hubby "hey you wanna buy me one of those?" Well apparently he's been putting aside a little money each week so he could get it for me ! He also got me the Sure Cuts A Lot program! That thing is awesome! I will never have to buy a cartage for this thing! I've already added tons of fonts, and dingbats. Now that I can make great titles so easily, I have no more excuses not to scrapbook! I found a really great set of dingbats HERE that have a bunch of shapes like nesties. Here is the anniversary card I made for Sam.
This card took forever! I used Michelle Zindorf's brayered sky technique. I must have done the main image for this card 15 times! I kept messing something up. It's funny, my first two came out perfect, but I forgot to put in the moon on the first, and on the second the sentiment wasn't inked up well enough. I'll probably just case myself and make some of these for Father's Day too. The boat and the cattails are from Impression Obsession. It was one stamp, but I cut it apart so the boat could be a little further away.
ETA: If you participated in last weeks Stamp Something Challenge, and linked your project using Mr. Linky, you need to go back and leave a comment to make sure you are entered. Mr. Linky is having problems.
-Stamps-Impression Obsession Boat and Cattails, unknown Happy Anniversary
-Paper-Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, White and Chocolate Chip cardstock; Chocolate Chip prints DSP
-Ink-Memento
-Copics-E47, G99
-Accessories-Hemp twine, brown button, paper piercer and mat pack.

Coffee
Good morning! I hope you all had a nice weekend! We didn't do much, but I had something pretty funny happen. Well, it wasn't very funny at the time, but now I can't stop laughing at myself. I flipped my buggy over in the Walmart parking lot! Seriously, it completely flipped over full of stuff! I had a bag of mulch and two bags of soil under the buggy, but when I checked out I just put them on top since they were hard to get out from underneath. They didn't fit well and it was poring rain outside so I didn't want to have to get soaked trying to get them out. So I'm walking out to my car, one of the buggy's front wheels bumps the curb, and there it went . Completely upside down with all my stuff on the pavement. Glad I didn't get any eggs. I got completely soaked! Two really nice people stopped and helped me get everything back in. Note to self, don't overload the front of of the buggy
. I still can't believe I did that.
Anyway, I used Jen's Sketch For You To Try from last week for this card. Her sketches are always so fun!

Christmas and Color Challenge
Good afternoon! I hope you're having a great week so far. I made this card for the color challenge on SCS, which was to use Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip and Riding Hood Red. I love this color combo! I also used last weeks Mojo Monday sketch challenge.
-Stamps-Impression Obsession What's Brewing, SU Upsy Daisy
-Paper-Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette and white cardstock; Riding Hood Red DSP
-Ink-Memento black and Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Chip marker
-Copics-RV000, RV10, R22, R27, R29, R46, E37, E47
-Accessories-Corner rounder punch, hole punch, white brads, Chocolate Chip twill
I started on this card probably a couple of months ago, and set it aside to work on something else. I found it under my radio the other day when I was cleaning up a little bit so I thought I'd finish it. I know I've used this layout before, and I'm thinking it's was a sketch challenge but I can't remember where I saw it.
-Stamps-SU Snow Flurries, Seeing Spots and Perfect Endings
-Paper-Bravo Burgundy, Soft Sky and White
-Ink-Bravo Burgundy, Soft Sky and Blue Bayou
-Accessories-Bravo Burgundy grosgrain, Rhinestones, HPH
Can you believe it..3 posts in 3 days! Oh, and I noticed when I was getting ready to start this post that this is my 250th one! Wow!

SCS Sketch
Good morning! Well jury duty yesterday actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I was told that they call in 65 people and pick 7-12 from that, but there were actually 300 of us there, minus those that were excused or didn't show. They said it was really busy week, so I think they actually ended up using most of us on different trials. The trial I was on started yesterday, and I was supposed to go back for the whole week, but last night hubby noticed the car leaking transmission fluid. We brought it to a mechanic and he said it looks like the seal is broken which isn't gonna be cheap to fix . I called the courthouse and explained the situation, luckily they were understanding and excused me for the rest of the week. Anyway, I had this post scheduled for Wednesday since I didn't think I'd have much time to make any thing this week, but now that I do, I thought I'd go ahead and post it. I made this card for the sketch challenge on SCS. This was a fun sketch!

Birthday Dragon
Good morning! I hope you are had a great weekend. This post is scheduled since I'll be at the courthouse for jury duty today . I'm really hoping I don't get picked, but if I do that's where I'll be all week, so I'm not sure how much I'll be around. I do have another post scheduled for Wednesday though. I think it's ridiculous that they make 65 people come down there, when they only need 7-12. On the bright side though, we have a second car now! We actually got it a few months ago, but we just got tags and all that, so I can get a job now! Or I guess with this economy, I should say try to find one.
So isn't this dragon just about the cutest thing you've ever seen?! This is a free digital stamp by Dustin Pike. This the first time I've tried digital stamps, and I love them! It's so nice to be able to make images any size you want, you don't have to store them and I can blend as much as I want with out the ink bleeding. I LOVE this image! There is another dragon for Easter that is really cute too. I had it all colored and ready to stick on a card when I ruined it. It was laying on the table as I was coloring the image on another card, and it was under an open pink Copic I was using. I figured I better get it out of the way before I got ink on it, so I carelessly picked it up with the marker still on top of it and managed to draw a pink line through most of the image . Oh well. I guess I can just consider that one practice
. I got the idea for the clouds from Michelle Redman. She used a dauber with a scallop circle, but I don't have any daubers, so I used a sponge. It was so easy!
-Stamps-Free Digital image by Dustin Pike, and SU It's your Birthday
-Paper-White and Wild Wasabi cardstock; Summer Picnic DSP
-Ink-Pumpkin Pie and Bliss Blue
-Copics-Y17, Y38, YR04, YR09, B39, B95, G07, G12, G14
-Accessories-Dew Drops and Wild Wasabi ribbon.

Mojo Monday sketch
Hello! I just made this card for this weeks Mojo Monday sketch Challenge. I got this stamp set for Christmas, and still haven't used it, so I thought I'd ink it up. The image is from What's brewing by Impression Obsession, and the sentiment is from Inkadinkado coffee classics. I inked the words in the sentiment separately and kinda rearranged some of them so the image would fit too.
-Stamps-Impression Obsession What's brewing, and Inkadinkado coffee classics
-Paper-White, Real Red and So Saffron cardstock; Bali Breeze DSP
-Ink-Real red marker, Memento tuxedo black
-Copics-B00, B02, B05, 0
-Accessories-Dew drops, Circle nesties, circle cutter, cuttlebug folder.
And this one uses an old Mojo Monday sketch, #2. Love this sketch! My card is looking a little off balance though. The layer on the right should have been up higher, but I actually used glue this time (normally use double sided tape) so I couldn't pull it back apart. So, I put some brads at the top to see if it would help, but I don't think they really work with the polka dots. I thought of starting over, but there is no way I'm wasting that gorgeous DSP =). Oh, well. I still like the card though. I think I'm going to do this sketch again, but no off balance, lol.
-Stamps-Hanna Stamps Snowski Riley, PTI Take a Bough
-Paper-Real Red, River Rock, Old Olive and White cardstock; Dashing DSP
-Ink-Memento, Real Red
-Copics-E31, E33, E35, E37, R29, R37, R59, YG95
-Accessories-Circle Nesties, silver brads, Martha Stewart chunky glitter, glue

Bleach
So, I knew you could stamp with bleach, but it never occurred to me to color with it! I came across THIS gorgeous card in the gallery on SCS and HAD to CASE it ! HERE is a tutorial. The tutorial tells you to use a dry blender pen, but I never thought to save the dry ones, so I didn't have any that were dry and didn't want to ruin a good one. So I took an old cheap marker that was light colored and just rinsed the color out of the tip, and used it to pick up bleach (she uses gel in the tutorial, but I used regular bleach in a cup). I can't believe how easy this was!
Oh, by the way, did you hear that Addicted to rubber stamps has everything 25% off?!? It was supposed to be just yesterday, but the site was running so slow that they extended it until the 28th! I just couldn't help myself...I got ordered 4 Bellas last night! I'm getting ready to order some Copics, so I was gonna hold of on the Bellas for now, but I realized I'd only have to get 6 less Ciaos to get the 4 Bellas, so I just couldn't resist! Now I've got some Bellas coming, and getting ready to have 12 markers on the way! I can't wait!!!
I'm horribly behind on my google reader again . I keep telling myself I'm going to check it everyday so it's not so much, but I always forget. I love way too many blogs though! I'm hoping to get a little caught up today, but my house is a mess. I need to go clean up some before hubby gets home. Wouldn't want him to think I don't do anything all day
.

Stamp Something Challenge
Good morning! This weeks Stamp Something challenge is hosted by Alex. Her challenge to us is 3D Somethings. The possibilities are pretty much endless with this one! I decided to do a 3D image. I'm not sure if you can tell, but there are 4 layers in the flower. I decided to make a sympathy card because I don't have any and I like to have a stash of cards on hand. I took the picture at an angle to show the dimension of the flower, but at that angle it kind of hid most of the paper piercing on the basic black. I never realized how hard sympathy cards are! Maybe it's just me, but I had a really hard time with it. I kept wanting to add stuff, but it just didn't feel right on a sympathy card.
-Stamps-Impression Obsession Grandma's Rose, SU Thoughts and Prayers
-Paper-White, Kraft, Basic Black and Riding Hood Red
-Ink-Memento tuxedo black, Riding Hood Red, Copics-R37, R46, R59, YG95
-Accessories-Black grosgrain, stampin' dimensionals,
Hope you all have fab day! Make sure you check out the rest of the DTs awesome creations on the Stamp Something Blog. And why your at it, why not play along with us!

Apricot rose
I'm so happy with how this one turned out! You can't see it as well in the picture, but there are 3 layers of the flower, with the top two on stampin' dimensionals. I used an old Verve sketch. I just added another layer to it and changed the dimensions to make it work with my image.
-Stamps-Impression Obsession Grandma's rose, PTI Paper tray

It's a cupcake kind of day
Good afternoon! I just made this card for the sketch challenge on SCS. This was a fun sketch! Tons of possibilities. What do you think of the pearls? Do they look out of place to you? I can't decide if I like them there or not. I'm trying to get more into the details, but I suck at details, lol. If you notice, I hardly ever use embellishments on my cards (aside from ribbon and sometimes HPH), but it's usually because I don't know where to put them! Anyway, I recently bought some pearls, rhinestones and buttons and I'm going to try my best to actually use them!
-Stamps-Impression Obsession Cupcakes
-Paper-Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa and Whisper White
-Ink-Chocolate Chip, Memento black, Copic Markers
-Accessories-Pearls, HPH, Pretty in Pink taffeta, swiss dots cuttlebug folder

My time sketch
Hey! I hope you're all having a good day so far! I haven't done a darn thing today but stamp . Well, ya know the snow I mentioned yesterday? After I got done with my post, I looked outside and it was all gone except for little bits here and there. It snowed most of the day but no more stuck. Oh well, maybe next year. I did get my catalog yesterday though!!
I used Lauren Meader's sketch 19 for these cards. The sketch was from a couple of weeks ago, I've been meaning to do it and just kept forgetting about it. Love this layout! It's so much harder for me to use small images, but this sketch is perfect for small stuff.
-Stamps-Impression Obsession Cupcakes, Hey Cupcake sentiment
-Paper-Whisper White, Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink cardstock; Pretty in Pink and Soft Sky DSP.
-Ink-Chocolate Chip, Memento tuxedo black, Copic markers
-Accessories-Pretty in Pink taffeta, Nestabilities, circle punches.
I loved the sketch so much, I had to make another!
ETA: Thanks ladies! It turns out it was the bobbin tension. I didn't even know there was such a thing, but all I had to do was turn a screw on the bobbin casing a little bit and now it works perfectly again! Woohoo!!
-Stamps-Tart & Tangy, Impression Obsession cupcakes (sentiment)
-Paper-Old Olive, Kraft and Whisper White cardstock; Summer Picnic DSP
-Ink-Real Red, Old Olive
-Accessories-Nestabilities, Circle punches, sewing machine, white thread, Olive grosgrain and blender pen.

Stamp Something Challenge
Good morning!! Happy New Year!! The theme for this weeks Stamp Something Challenge is New Somethings. Create a project using something new, like maybe something you received for Christmas or a new color combo or technique..whatever! Well this was an easy one for me, since I got a bunch of new goodies for Christmas . Oh, and yesterday I went to Hobby Lobby and they have a bunch of stuff half off, like all rubber stamps! I got a bunch of new stamps, and then I went to Michael's to see if they would price match and they did so I got more there
. Ahh, nothing beats new stamps...especially when they're half price! Anyway, here is my card. This stamp is one I got for Christmas. I'm so happy I finally have a stamp that is good for masculine cards! Love this lighthouse! The Impression Obsession stamps are so fun to color! The layout is this weeks Sketch Challenge on SCS.
-Stamps-It's your Birthday, Impression Obsession Small Lighthouse
-Paper-So Saffron, Whisper White and Basic Black cardstock; Riding Hood Red DSP
-Ink-Memento Tuxedo black, Copic Markers

New stamps!!
Are these not just the cutest stamps ever?! Ahh, I love new stamps! These are early Christmas presents from my parents. They ordered me some stamps from Impression Obsession, and my mom told me I could have the Christmas ones early
. Oh, and they got me 20 Copic ciaos for my birthday, which is today, but I got some of them last week, lol. I'm still trying to decide what I want from hubby. I really want the big shot, but I can't help but think of all the stamps I could be buying with that money. I kinda want some storage stuff too, but that seems so boring. I'm too indecisive!
