Yay! I really love this image from Give Thanks. I didn't like the whole set, just the apples. Anyway, someone on SCS sent me some images to play with, so I have been coloring apples like crazy. This image just makes me feel inspired. It just makes me want to jump up and make a card! Funny thing is, I'm actually starting to like the whole set now. I've been looking in the gallery on SCS, and there is some awesome cards using this set. So I ordered it. I can't wait to get it. I think this could easily become one of my favorite sets now. Why is it always the sets I didn't even like when I first saw them ended up being my favorites? Seriously, Fabulous Flowers, Doodle This, Crazy For Christmas, Baroque Motifs, I didn't like any of them, but now those are my Favorite sets.
This first card was my first attempt at coloring the apples. I like how they came out, but I want them to be better, lol. I want them to look real. Does anyone know of a good watercoloring tutorial? I've seen the one by Jule Buhler on how to use markers to watercolor. It was awesome (If you haven't seen it, click HERE), but I need something on shading, lol. I've never been good at blending colors. I seem to either blend it too much, or not enough. Feel free to share any tips you may have too.

Thursday Sketch # 5
Sorry I'm getting this up so late. I really need to start making the sketch cards the day before since normally I stamp at night, but I just never seem to get around to to it =).I'm pretty happy with how this one came out. The picture looks pretty bad though. I was having a really hard time getting a decent picture of this card. My camera doesn't seem to like these colors.

-Ink-Baroque Burgundy, Mellow Moss and Always Artichoke
-Paper-Baroque Burgundy, Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke, Kraft, and Whisper White.
-Accessories-Mellow Moss 1/4" grosgrain and Glue dots.

Season of Joy one layer
I'm trying to get a move on my Christmas cards finally, lol. I make them all different so it takes a lot of time.
I love one layer cards. They are sooo easy! This one is 4.25 X 4.25.
-Stamps-Baroque Motifs and Season of Joy
-Paper-Very Vanilla
-Ink-Always Artichoke, Purely Pomegranate and Creamy Caramel.
-Accessories-Pop dots and sponges.
I used the main image from Baroque motifs . I stamped it once, then just a little bit more on each side. I hope that makes sense =). The flowers were cut out. I just curled the edges a little bit with my fingers and stuck a pop dot underneath. Then I stamped the sentiment, and a few little flowers then sponged the edges with Creamy Caramel. Super easy card!

Altered Pringles can
Well, I've been seeing these altered Pringles cans on SCS, so I had to make one. Someone had the idea that they could be filled with Christmas cookies to give to friends and family, so I think I'm going to do that. Lots of people are also using them for home decor, but I'm just not that creative =). I really need to order some designer series paper, I think that would have looked better. All I have right now is the Palette O' Prints, which you can't do but so much with. Check out the one's on Splitocast. They are awesome!
Recipe-
-Stamps-Baroque Motifs, Linen background and Happy Everything
-Paper-Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgundy, Mellow Moss, and Kraft.
-Ink-Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgundy, Mellow Moss, and Creamy Caramel.
-Accessories-Bravo Burgundy grosgrain, circle cutter..oh yea, and a Pringles can =).

Carla's sketch challenge
I just made this card for Carla's sketch challenge. Her blog is really great by the way, so go check it out! I really loved this sketch! I don't think I did such a great job with it, but it was a great sketch. I think I'm going to try it again when I get my InColors Friday. I ordered all the InColors and Fabulous Flowers. I'm really excited to get that set. I actually hated it at first (I thought it was absolutely hideous!), but then I kept seeing such amazing cards with it so I had to have it =). Actually I didn't like most of the new colors at first either, but thanks to SCS, I decided I couldn't live with out them all, lol. Amazing how your tastes change when you spend enough time looking at the gallery on SCS. =)

-Paper-Rose Red prints paper, Rose red, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla cardstock.
