So I finally did another scrapbook page. Well two actually. I decided on Saturday I wanted to get back into scrapbooking more seriously. I was going through my pictures on the computer trying to decide which ones to have printed. Well I turned off my computer to put my CD burner back in (hubby was borrowing it, since he doesn't have one at the moment) and my computer wouldn't come back on. It kept giving me an error message. So Sam put my hard drive in his computer to see if it would work which it didn't. We also tried using an external hard drive enclosure which also didn't work. By this point I was getting pretty worried about my pictures and documents being gone. I hadn't backed anything up in a LONG time. You'd think I would have learned from this last time this happened. I was using hubby's computer from about December to July (loaned someone mine) and his hard drive crashed with my pictures from that time on it. Never did get those back.
Luckily hubby was able to do a repair install of windows which worked. I had enough time to burn CD's of everything important before it started going crazy again. Whew! Now my motherboard isn't working either, but I'm not too worried about that. I got my stuff, so I'm just using hubby's computer for right now. So, if you haven't backed your files in a while, you might want to do that =). Keep in mind that your hard drive could crash at anytime! Most of the recovery places I looked into before hubby fixed it wanted around $300.
So I haven't been online hardly at all lately. I'm sill working on downloading stuff, installing programs, and organizing files and all that. I am so backed up on my Google reader right now it's not even funny. I just checked and I have 458 unread posts! I subscribe to way too many blogs!
Anyway, these pictures were taken in early 2001. We don't normally get snow like this around here, so we decided to really have some fun. We have a huge pretty open field, so there was tons of room to play in the snow. So after our snowball fight someone came up with the idea to use a car hood from a junk car turned upside down as a sled, attached with rope to the 4-wheeler to pull it around. OMG, that was so much fun! We had to start using a truck about half way through though, because the 4-wheeler was getting too hot. Who knew you could have so much fun with a car hood, lol.
And I just realized when I saw this picture that the pictures on this side of the page are down lower and a little crooked. Hopefully I can fix that =). The chipboard letters are covered with Soft Sky prints DSP. I sanded the edges and added a little white ink to them with a q-tip. On the snowflakes I did the Rock and Roll technique with Soft Sky and Blue Bayou.
