This card is for the sketch challenge SC172 and the color challenge CC163 on SCS. The color challenge was to use Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink.
This is my first time sewing on a card. I've always loved the look of it, but I've been to lazy to try it. My sewing machine is a piece of junk so I did it by hand. I just poked all of the holes with the paper piercing tool using the mat pack, then ran the thread through with a needle. Much easier that I thought it would be and I think it really ads a lot to a card.
I stamped the bird in Chocolate Chip and colored with the pastels using a Q-tip. -Stamps-Always and Define Your Life
-Ink-Chocolate Chip
-Paper-Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery cardstock; Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery prints DSP.
-Accessories-Pastels, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack and Brown thread

This is beautiful!! :D Love the way you colored in the flowers on the birdie. CUTE stitching as well. :D
Love it, Emily! This bird with those colors are so sweet! I don't know that I would have the patience for the hand stitching, but it looks amazing! Thanks for sharing!
This card is so pretty!!! Great job with the challenges and sewing!!
The sewing looks great!
Gorgeous! The stitching adds so much - and doing it by hand makes those stitches perfect. I love the idea of pastels to color the bird.
pretty, I was unsure of this combo, but like what you came up with, great use of pastels to tie it all together.
Emily - this is great. I love that you coloured in the bird design.
Beautiful! I'm too lazy to sew on a card too. Congrats on doing it!
I love this Emily!! The stitching is great. I love the look but do not do it often either. I love how you used the pastels!
