U Suck Card

I've always wanted to make a U Suck from the set all about you, so here it is =).

-Ink-So Saffron and Rose Red.
-Paper-So Saffron, Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip, and the Rose Red from Palette O' Prints.
-Accessories-Rich Regals Watercolor Crayons, Chocolate and Rose Grosgrain Ribbon, Corner Rounder Punch to make the scalloped edge.

Anniversary Card

Yesterday was me and my husbands 4 year anniversary, and this is the card I made for him. I have a really hard time making masculine cards. I would much rather use some pink =). On this card I used

SplitcoastStamper Challenges

This is the card I did for the Color Challenge, and the Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast. If you've never tried the challenges there you should. They're a lot of fun. The color challenge was to use Apricot Appeal, Tempting Turquoise, and Rose Red. I didn't really like the combo at first, but it really grew on me as I was working on this card.
I absolutely can not get enough of Doodle this. I have been using pretty much nothing but this set since I got it. All the rest of my pretty stamps are getting ignored at the moment =).

Stamps: Doodle This, Wonderful Words, Much Appreciated.
Cardstock: Apricot Appeal, Tempting Turquoise, Rose Red and Palette O' Prints (can't get enough of this either).
Ink: Apricot Appeal, Tempting Turquoise, Black StazOn.
Accessories: Watercolor crayons, Aqua Painter, Apricot and Turquoise grosgrain ribbon.

All items used are current Stampin' Up!

Doodle This and Palette O' Prints

Well I just finished this one. It took me forever to do. I just couldn't seem to figure out how I wanted to finish it =). I just tried the making the scalloped edge with the corner rounder punch for the first time. For whatever reason, I've been thinking all along you had to use the slit punch (which I keep forgetting to order), and I just found out you can use the corner rounder punch, so needless to say I had to try it (Check out Beate's blog for directions). And I know I stamped the sentiment really crooked. I just didn't feel like redoing it all =).

Stamps: Doodle this and It's Your Birthday.
Paper: Chocolate Chip Cardstock. All other paper used it from the Palette O' Prints sampler pad.
Ink: Whisper White Craft, Black StazOn, and Chocolate Chip Classic.
Accessories: Chocolate Grosgrain ribbon, White Signo gel pen

All items used are current Stampin' Up!

Doodle This

Well as promised, here are some non-Christmas cards. =). All three of them used Doodle this, and Polka dots & Paisley(both from the Spring Mini Catalog). I just recently got Doodle This. This has got to be my favorite set I've ever used. The possibilities are just endless, and it's so great for watercoloring with Stampin' Up's Watercolor Wonder Crayons with an aqua painter.
The colors on this card are So Saffron, Rose Red, and Chocolate Chip. The image was stamped in Staz-on black ink, and colored in using the Rich Regals Watercolor crayons with an aqua painter. The edges were sponged using creamy caramel. I also used a piece of Apricot grosgrain ribbon.
On this card I used Basic Black cardstock, and Glossy White cardstock. Images were stamped with Staz-on, then colored in with Stampin' Write markers. Colors used are Rose Red, So Saffron and Mellow Moss. Edges were sponged with Bashful Blue.

The cardstock used here is Rose Red, and Whisper White. The flowers were colored with Watercolor crayons and an aqua painter. The flowers were colored in with Regal Rose, then shaded with Rose Red, the centers are So saffron. The vines are mellow moss. Edges sponged with Creamy Caramel.
All items used for these projects can be found in the Stampin' Up! Spring Mini Catalog, or in the 2006-2007 Idea Book & Catalog.

SU! Retirement list

Well Stampin' Up! posted their list of retiring stamp sets last night. I'm gonna be really sad seeing some of them go. 232 stamp sets and 45 wheels are getting retired! I'm going to be especially sad to see Crazy for Christmas and Sleigh full of Toys retire. I love those sets! But hey, on the bright side, the new catalog has got to be great! If you would like to see the retiring list, click HERE, and you can see the PDF file.

<---This card uses Crazy For Christmas, Flaky Friends, and Sleigh Full of Toys. The colors used were Bravo Burgundy, Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke, and Whisper white. I also used the Burgundy grosgrain ribbon.

<---This card was made with Sleigh Full of Toys. This is a technique called Faux Cloisonne. Click HERE if you would like directions. This card uses Real Red, and Basic Black cardstock, gold embossing powder and lots of magazine pages.
Okay, sorry for all the Christmas cards. I'll upload some non-Christmas cards later on. =)
All items can be found in The Stampin' Up! 2006-2007 Idea Book & Catalog

I'm bloggin now!

Well, I finally decided it was time for me to make a blog. It looks pretty boring right now, but I still have a lot to learn. I guess the best way to start is to tell you a little about me. I am 22 years old, I live in South Carolina with my wonderful husband Sam. We have been married almost 4 years.
In November I signed up to be a Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. I can honestly say this is the most fun job I've ever had. What could be better than making money stamping?! I mean seriously, it sounds too good to be true.
Here is a card that I made a few days ago. Yeah, I know it's still April, but I love Christmas cards, and after seeing the idea of using the Doodle This stamp set in the spring mini catalog to make poinsettias, I had to try it! I hope you like it! I originally saw the idea of making poinsettias from a card posted on WWW.Splitcoaststampers.com (Wonderful website by the way) by sleepyinseattle. You can see her card HERE. On this card I used Doodle this and Sleigh full of toys stamp sets. Real Red, Garden Green and Kraft cardstock, Real Red, Garden Green, and Versamark ink pads, Hodgepodge hardware (I embossed it in silver so it would match) Silver embossing powder, and retired silver ribbon. All items with the exception of the retired ribbon, can be found in the Stampin' Up! Idea book and Catalog, or in the Stampin' Up! Spring mini catalog.
