Ribbon Weaving

I just saw this on Kristina's blog. She has a video tutorial showing how to do the ribbon weaving. Her blog is awesome by the way!
Woohoo, I'm finally using my Flower Fusion! I ordered it when the new catty came out and haven't used it till now. I used one of the rub-ons from SAB on the ribbon. I love how you can put them just about anywhere! You have to be careful on the weaved ribbon though. Every time I'd rub I'd feel the ribbon sliding around. I'm kinda surprised it came out so well.

This card uses no ink or stamps!

Paper-Rose Red & Pretty in Pink cardstock; Summer Picnic DSP
Accessories-Flower Fusion, Wide Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon, SAB rub-ons and styled silver HPH brad.

SC169 Tart and Tangy

I have to say this card surprised me. I hate Yo-Yo Yellow, and I've hardly touched Wild Wasabi or Pumpkin Pie. I had the basic idea for this card in my head, but when I went to make it I realized I'd have to use these colors which I thought would look really bad together. I'm actually really happy with it though. I was browsing the past sketch challenges on SCS and came across SC169 from a few weeks ago and I knew it would be perfect. I think I'll definitely be using this sketch a lot. I don't think you can tell in the pic, but the brad on the main panel is from the new Hodgepodge hardware. It says Genuine. I LOVE the new HPH! It's so pretty I can hardly bring myself it use it.

Puppy update-
Some of you may remember my post about the puppies I was having a hard time finding homes for. Well this really wonderful person saw my post and contacted me. They emailed several rescues trying to help me, and one of them sent out a mass email to rescues in other states. A foster home for a animal shelter (when they don't have room) contacted me and said she could take some of them. In the meantime I did find homes for 4. Between the woman in PA and friend of hers they were able to take the remaining 5. Her friend drove all the way down to SC! I met her at a shelter in Greenville where she was picking up 5 other dogs to rescue. The lady that came to get them and her family kept 2 of them, and the other woman kept one and is fostering the other two till homes can be found for them. They have both sent me pictures. The puppies are all doing great! I can't tell you how amazing these people are. Thank you all so much for everything you do!!

Tart & Tangy

I made this one a few days ago, I just forgot to upload it. I really love Tart & Tangy, but for some reason I've had trouble using it-so simple is all I could come up with, lol. I really screwed up my scallop edge, but from what I hear there will be a scallop edge punch in the new SU catty =). I don't think the sentiment really fits the card, but oh well, I never remember to actually send them to people anyway.Recipe:
-Stamps-Tart & Tangy, A Beautiful Thing
-Ink-Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy
-Paper-Bashful Blue and Pumpkin Pie cardstock; Summer Picnic DSP
-Accessories-Real Red and Old Olive Stampin' Write markers; Bashful Blue grosgrain.

Nursery Necessities

Man, I am loving this stamp set. I've been wanting it for a while, but I don't have kids yet (and I've been using Wild about You for baby cards so far), but I talked myself into it anyway =). I'm really happy with how this card came out. It is 4X6, I didn't plan on that, but I that just ended up being the size I needed for everything to fit like I wanted it. I put pop dots under the three main images, and mini glue dots under the stars at the bottom.
Recipe:
-Stamps-Nursery Necessities
-Paper-So Saffron, Whisper White and Bashful Blue cardstock; Certainly Celery prints (from the hostess prints pack)
-Ink-Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery

Way to easy!

Wow! I just got my SAB rub-ons. I absolutely love them! I hate that SAB is over, cuz I want more! =) I did no stamping at all on this card. This is probably one of the easiest cards I've ever made. It just took a few minutes to throw it together, and no stamping! This was a color combo challenge from a few weeks ago on SCS. I love these colors.
Recipe
-Paper-River Rock, Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock
-Accessories-SAB rub-on's, Scallop Punch, 1 3/8 & 1 1/4 circle punches.

NSR....Anyone want a puppy?

This is totally not stamp related, but I'm desperate. Anyone in SC want a puppy? The mother is a Pit Bull and we think the father is a German Shepherd. They will be 11 weeks old Saturday. I've had no luck finding homes for them, but I just can't keep them much longer since they cost so much to feed (there are 9 of them!) and we just can't afford it. I've called every single animal shelter even remotely close that is no kill, and , but they are all full. I've also called all of the Pit Bull rescues, they are full too. I called animal control because their website said they are no kill. Well when the guy got here he told me they take the animals to another shelter which kills Pit Bull or anything with Pit Bull in it automatically. No chance for adoption =(. That totally breaks my heart. I know a lot of people have heard bad things about Pit Bulls, but most of them aren't like that. Mine is the sweetest dog I've ever had in my life (there is a picture of her below too), and every one I've met is the same way. I don't have a picture of them all since they don't sit still, but you can see their younger pictures HERE. I don't even know if I have any SC readers, but I figured it was worth a shot at least. Please email me if your interested of if you know someone that is. Stampingexpressions@gmail.com Thanks!

Always

I made this card for hubby. I don't know what's gotten into me, but I haven't made anything lately. The card box in my last post was the last thing I've made. I really need to get my butt in gear. I keep using the same colors all the time, so I'm trying to break out of that. I've got new stuff coming today, so maybe that will get me going =). I'm really loving this stamp set. I thought that bird was hideous at first, but after seeing all of the great stuff everyone's been making with it, I had to have it. I especially love that it's one of those sets that you can easily do a whole card with just that one stamp set. -Stamps-Always
-Ink-Groovy Guava, Really Rust, Close to Cocoa and Versamark
-Paper-Groovy Guava, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and Close to Cocoa cardstock: Fall Flowers DSP
-Accessories-Retired 1/4" Chocolate Chip grosgrain, Stampin Sponges.
